Your data and privacy
Your conversations are personal. This page explains, in plain language, what TalkStik records, what happens to it, who can see what, and how to take your data with you or delete it entirely. No legal reading level required. The formal versions live in our Privacy Policy and U.S. States Privacy Notice, and this page will always match them.
What we record, and what happens to it
Section titled “What we record, and what happens to it”During a session, TalkStik captures audio. Your voices, nothing else. No video, ever.
That audio follows one path:
- Audio. Each phone records its own speaker during the session.
- Transcript. The audio becomes text.
- Reflection. AI reads the text and writes your reflections and your shared Field.
The raw audio is deleted within 24 hours of the recording. Every session, automatically, whether or not you ever touch a setting. What stays afterward are the transcript and the reports, and those live in your session history.
We do not use your conversations to train AI models, and we do not allow our providers to.
Who can see what
Section titled “Who can see what”The conversation belonged to both of you, so some things are shared. The private parts stay private.

No one else sees any of it. Transcripts and reports are not public, not shared with other users, and not browsable by anyone who is not in the session.
Export a copy of your data
Section titled “Export a copy of your data”You can download everything we hold about you, any time, right from the app:
- Open the menu and tap Profile.
- Tap Your data.
- Start the export. It gathers your account details, sessions, transcripts, and reports.
The download link it prepares expires after about 5 minutes, so grab the file when it is ready. You can export as often as you like. Details on the Profile guide.
Delete your account
Section titled “Delete your account”Deleting your account removes your data, permanently:
- Open the menu and tap Profile.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Confirm.
That deletes your account details, your sessions, your transcripts, and your reports. It also deletes the record our billing partner keeps of your subscription. Deletion takes effect right away and cannot be undone. If you want to keep anything, export first.
One thing deletion does not do: it does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Apple and Google manage those, so cancel in your Apple or Google account settings.
If you can’t use the app
Section titled “If you can’t use the app”No phone, can’t sign in, or the app is long gone? You can still exercise every right on this page by email. Write to [email protected] and tell us what you need: deletion, a copy of your data, or a correction.
You can write to us from any email address. It does not need to be the one on your TalkStik account.
We are required to verify that a request really comes from you, so we may ask a question or two before acting on it. We respond within the timelines your state’s law requires, which in most U.S. states is 45 days.
