The shared view

The Field is the one part of your report that both of you see, word for word the same. It’s written from neither side — as the screen says, no one is named here. It describes the conversation itself, not either person.

What’s in it:

• Conversation arc — the shape of the exchange, from where it started to where it landed.
• What this conversation did well — the strengths the two of you showed together.
• Themes — the threads that ran through what was said.

Why “the field”?

From the Rumi line TalkStik takes its bearings from: “Beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.” This page is that field — common ground, described without sides.
